Marion Stotts
Marion is relatively new to the Columbia Valley and the conservation movement but has found a good fit as both a branch and regional board member with Wildsight. Her professional background is in Nursing Education with a specialty in Oncology and Palliative Care. Marion's personal and professional experiences have certainly raised questions about the correlation between all forms of health and the environment.
She is involved in the organic food movement through Slow Food and the Invermere Community Greenhouse. Marion was chair of the committee that successfully lobbied the District of Invermere for a ban on the use of cosmetic pesticides and is a member of the Pesticide Free Columbia Basin Coalition
She also serves as Advocacy Representative for the Columbia Valley Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Marion is an avid gardener and enjoys her own greenhouse. She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing and the arts and has a real passion for traveling to many parts of the world.
