Scott Niedermayer slams plans for resortproject near boyhood home

VICTORIA - The former captain of Canada's Olympic gold medal men's hockey team is speaking out against a proposed resort development near his hometown in Cranbrook, B.C.

Scott Niedermayer says the proposed Jumbo Glacier ski resort project in the Purcell Mountains of southeastern B.C. threatens valuable grizzly bear habitat.
