Community bucks in print

From the Kimberley Daily Bulletin The Columbia Basin Community Dollars
are now printed and in circulation. The Snowdrift Cafe was the first
Kimberley business to issue Community Dollars by making a donation in
C$ to local not-for profit organizations. The Snowdrift donated $1000.
Community Dollars to Wildsight, in support of their local environmental
work. Wildsight has already
begun to exchange their Community Dollars with community members for
Canadian currency, and will use the Community Dollars to make local
purchases.
