Save money, time, and the environment by sharing a car or truck. Join the Kimberley branch of the Nelson Carshare Co-op and you'll be joining a group of 130 members that share a dozen vehicles in Nelson, Kaslo, Revelstoke, and, soon, Kimberley. By sharing ownership of a truck or car, you could save the cost and hassle associated with owning a vehicle and reduce your environmental footprint. Our branch has been active for over a year now with a pickup truck and 17 drivers and we are welcoming new members to use the truck and we have now added a car to the fleet.

If you sometimes need a pickup truck, but don't want to use one every day, then sharing a truck may be for you. You can reserve your shared truck for a few days for a backcountry trip or for just half an hour to pick up some lumber. If you want to leave car ownership behind or your family wants to become a one-car family, then sharing a car may be for you.

The co-op covers all the costs of vehicle ownership, including insurance, maintenance, repairs, and even fuel, while the members pay a small monthly admin charge and usage charges when they use the shared vehicles. Current members of the Nelson Carshare Co-op are saving thousands of dollars per year by sharing a car and using it only when needed.
