Wildsight Golden Annual General Meeting

Mar 10 2010 19:00
Wednesday, March 10 from 7-9 p.m. at the College of the Rockies.

The agenda includes quick reports from our volunteers and contractors about Wildsight Golden projects and activities of the past year and plans for the future, and election of the board of directors and officers.

Would you like to be on our board and help direct our activities? You'll be well appreciated!

Refreshments will be provided.

Join us after the meeting for a special sneak preview of our film about the Wood River

The Wood River is a remote ecologically and historically significant river, and it's currently threatened by a private power project already in the planning stage.

Wildsight Golden and Council of Canadians members travelled to the backcountry of the upper Wood River  last September with filmmakers Bill Noble and Ryan Johannesen,  who are putting together a short film we will be using to  gain support for protection of the upper Wood
River form industrial development.

The  unroaded reach of  the  Wood River is  dominated by  undisturbed old growth cedar and hemlock Forest and  crowned by  Mt. Clemenceau, the fourth highest Mountain in the Canadian Rockies.  The Upper Wood River  is a rugged, stunningly beautiful wild place that should not be desecrated by  an ill conceived hydroelectric project.

Come to our meeting and learn how you can help  protect the Wood River.
