Lake Windermere Interpretive Skate

Jan 21 2011 14:30

As part of the 2011 Snowflake Festival (formerly Winterlude), the Lake Windermere Ambassadors are hosting a FREE all-ages interpretive skate complete with hot chocolate and doughnuts!

During the skate you'll learn about what's happening with the critters that live under the ice, why there are holes in the ice that never freeze, and what lives in the winter habitat around the lake. You may even find the answers to all the burning ...questions you have about Lake Windermere.

Bring your skates down to Kinsmen Beach at 2:30pm on Friday, January 21st. We'll start the skate when everyone's ready to go (about 3:00pm). The skate will be between a half hour and an hour long (depending on the weather), and hot chocolate and doughnuts will be served at the end.

We would like to invite all participants to become Lake Windermere Ambassadors members for just $10.

Hope to see you there!
