Join Paul Tukey for a lively 90 minute workshop on how to have a beautiful lawn and garden without the use of chemical pesticides. Topics covered include weed management, selection of turf grasses, watering, building your soil, mulching and composting.

The workshop will be offered in the afternoon and evening.

 A Chemical Reaction Film Screening - FREE

A Chemical Reaction tells the heart-warming story of a community initiative in Hudson, Quebec, that eventually resulted in Canada’s first  cosmetic pesticide by-law. In the film, producer Paul Tukey introduces the audience to the people who spearheaded the community process and we hear first hand of their incredible perseverence. The by-law eventually withstood a challenge by the chemical industry in the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to an engaging story we're also treated to acres of gorgeous lawns and gardens in Hudson - all maintained without pesticides.
