Cranbrook Community Forest Work Bee and BBQ
The Cranbrook Community Forest Society, along with the Rocky Mountain Trench Society, is holding a Work Bee in the Cranbrook Community Forest on Saturday, September 25 from 9am to 3pm. We will be participating in an eco-restoration event designed by the Ministry of Forests.
The work bee will be followed by a BBQ at noon for all the hungry workers.
Come prepared to work and have fun. Gloves, hats, water bottles, sunscreen, and good footwear are essential.
Various jobs are available such as sapling pulling, and bush saw work, swamping, chip removal and wheelbarrow crews.
This is a great way to help the Cranbrook Community Forest thrive, meet new people, get some exercise, and mingle over lunch. If you can donate an hour or more of your time, all volunteer efforts are welcome.
Parking is limited so think about carpooling, hiking or biking. The work site can be accessed by the Forestry road near the fire suppression centre (by Sandor Rentals). Once you see the red topped tent, you’ll have found us!
